Services for All Hudson Students

Personal Counselling Workshops

We provide students with personal counselling in many areas of student need. We also invite experts from outside the College to present optional after-school workshops on topics of interest including leadership training and career planning.

Food Services

Only when students eat well, can they study well. We place a high priority on providing quality food services for our students. We provide a daily hot lunch service prepared by a professional, fully regulated and inspected catering company, featuring delicious, healthy menu selections that vary weekly. Our hot lunch service can cater to any food and/or religious food restrictions. Parents and students are able to order online – it’s both easy and convenient. On campus, we have a comfortable cafeteria with fridges and microwave ovens that are available to students who wish to bring in their own lunches from home.

Public Transit Discount

The College invites TTC staff to visit our campus so students can apply for a student discount card. The College will also help students to apply for a student discount for the GO Train, VIA, and other transportation services.

Helping International Students

Homestay, Airport Pick up

If our new international students wish to live with a friendly Canadian family, we will make arrangements for them to do so. We will let them know the details two weeks before their departure for Canada. Upon arrival in Toronto, we will send a friendly and helpful driver to pick them up at the airport and take them to the College, where they will meet their host Canadian family. If a student so desires, we will find a Homestay Canadian family who can speak the student’s first language.

Banking, Social Insurance and Medical Insurance

The day after new international students arrive at our College we will make arrangements for these new students to set up their first bank account in Canada. During the first week of their arrival, we will also help students apply for their social insurance cards and arrange for their purchase of medical insurance coverage.

We are always willing to be the first stop for help if international students experience a problem in these areas at a later point in time, including issues with their banks or problems with obtaining a quick reimbursement from their medical insurance company, etc.

Travel and Visa Services

We provide students with travel services, including tourism visa application, flight booking, hotel booking, tour booking and confirmation. We also provide services to help renew international students’ passports and student visas in Canada as well as helping their parents to obtain visas to visit Canada.

Medical Services

We have first-aid services directly on campus. If a student needs to see a doctor in an emergency, our staff will ensure that the student is taken to the nearest hospital / clinic and make sure he/she is well looked after.
