Hudson offers a variety of awards and scholarships in recognition of academic achievement and excellence in different aspects of school life.
Awarded to students at all grade levels who rank the highest in each subject that academic year: for example, the Grade 9 Hudson Prize in English, or the Grade 11 Hudson Prize in Science.
THE HUDSON EXCELLENCE AWARD
Awarded to Grade 9–11 students achieving the highest overall average in their grade for that academic year.
GOVERNOR GENERAL’S MEDAL
Awarded to the Grade 12 student with the highest overall academic standing.
Graduating students obtaining an average of 80% in six Pre-U credits are designated as Ontario Scholars. These students receive an Ontario Scholar Certificate and a letter of congratulations from the Ontario Ministry of Education.
Awarded annually to the best all-around student in Academics and Athletics, and the best all-around student in Academics and the Performing Arts.
Awarded to the student who has made the greatest academic improvement over the course of the year.
Awarded annually to a Grade 8 student who consistently puts forth their best effort in their academic studies; demonstrates leadership and acts as a positive role model to other Hudson students; builds healthy friendships; and participates regularly in activities, both inside and outside the classroom.
STUDENT GOVERNMENT AWARDS
Awarded annually to students who have made significant or unique contributions to the school or the community.
