On Friday, April 21st, our grade 9 students visited Mindful Bodyworks to receive professional instruction in a beginner’s yoga class. We learned about the importance of breathing through difficult exercises (both physical and mental), awareness of one’s self and the improvement of one’s physical health. Students were taught various poses that can help to reduce stress, insomnia and improve healthy oxygen and blood flow in the body. We hope that students will learn from this experience and use a variety of breathing/physical exercises to maintain a healthy state of mind, especially when studying for upcoming exams! Namaste.
