Lower School

Middle School reimagined

Smaller classes. Real community. Kids who love coming to school.

Middle School is when students discover what they’re capable of. At Hudson, we make these years count with hands-on learning, challenging curriculum, and caring teachers.

BOOK a TOUR

Smaller classes

In a well-balanced group of 22 students, everyone enjoys personal attention from the teacher, a distraction-free environment, and a motivated, diverse peer group. Focused classes mean nowhere to hide, and that’s exactly when kids discover they have something worth saying.

This is how students can tackle novel studies, one-on-one writing workshops, and complex science labs. All within a schedule that also makes time for art, music, French and athletics.

Space to shine

Watch your kid surprise themselves! Our Middle Schoolers lead assemblies, mentor younger students, and make the team. In a smaller community, there’s room for everyone to shine.

Quiet student with big ideas? You’ll get the help you need to win the Speech Contest. Obsessed with robotics? You’ll work toward competitions as a team. Secretly wanting to try drama? Your teacher will encourage you to audition.

Math that kids enjoy (seriously)

Our Saxon Math curriculum builds the kind of confidence that comes from genuine mastery. Its spiral structure reinforces concepts all year long: no cramming, no forgetting, just steady practice that makes students realize, “I actually get this.” Daily practice problems ensure that students close gaps and seek help from teachers.

By Grade 8, Hudson students are several grade levels ahead of their Canadian peers—not because they’re gifted, but because with time, effort and quality instruction, math is simply another skill they master.

High School readiness

By Grade 9, our students know how to advocate for themselves, manage their time, and tackle challenges with confidence.

Hudson’s Middle School Preparatory Program explicitly teaches essential executive functioning skills: how to take notes that improve understanding, plan projects independently, and share ideas with confidence. Most importantly? They learn how to balance everything they love with everything they need to do.

Come see a school where students are known, challenged, and supported every single day.
