What makes Hudson different? The teacher who stays late to explain derivatives. The study groups that become forever friendships. The moment you realize you're actually good at public speaking. The confidence that comes from being known, valued, and pushed to be your best self for four straight years.
In a group of 15–20 motivated students, you can’t disappear—and that’s when school gets interesting. At Hudson, you’ll find classes where everyone gets their questions answered. Socratic seminars where students find their voice. Labs where you run the experiments. Teachers who workshopped your writing in Grade 9 hand you your diploma in Grade 12, and this continuity makes all the difference: they know your dreams, your struggles, and exactly how to help you reach higher.
Hudson’s three-semester system changes the entire high school experience. Take three courses at a time instead of four or eight, and spend less time juggling homework, deadlines and exams. Spread challenging courses across semesters, and use your study period to collaborate and finish most of your homework before you leave for the day. This is the same semester structure you’ll find at university, which is why Hudson grads don’t struggle with the transition. Less stress, better learning.
In a community of 200 students, you don’t endlessly compete for opportunities—you create them. Start the club you’ve been thinking about. Join Student Council without the popularity contest. Play on sports teams even if you’re not already rep-level. Direct a play, edit the yearbook, tutor younger students. When universities ask what you’ve contributed to school life, you’ll have real answers.
Our enriched Ontario curriculum plus AP courses prepare you for any university program. You’ll enter university knowing how to advocate for yourself, manage competing deadlines, and seek help when needed—in short, you’ll know yourself.
